TARSUS UNIVERSITY TURKISH LANGUAGE TEACHING APPLICATION AND RESEARCH CENTER REGULATIONS

Language education at Tarsus University TÖMER is built upon a modern and interactive model focused on developing the four core language skills (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing) within the framework of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

1. Levels and Course System

Our educational program consists of 5 main levels, ranging from beginner to advanced:

  • A1 - A2 (Basic Level): The ability to meet basic daily needs, introduce oneself, and engage in simple dialogues.

  • B1 - B2 (Intermediate Level): The capacity to understand complex texts, speak fluently, and express detailed opinions on various topics.

  • C1 (Advanced Level): Proficiency at academic and professional levels, with a deep understanding of the Turkish culture and the nuances of the language.

2. Our Educational Approach: "Communication-Oriented Success"

  • Boutique Classrooms: Taking advantage of being a newly established center, we offer small class sizes that allow each student more time for speaking and active practice.

  • Integrated Four Skills: Our lessons do not focus solely on grammar; instead, we simultaneously develop reading, writing, listening, and especially speaking skills.

  • Up-to-date Materials: In our teaching process, we utilize international standard textbooks alongside digital materials and audio-visual tools.

3. Assessment and Evaluation

The progress of our students is meticulously monitored through mid-term exams, assignments, and end-of-course final exams throughout the term. Students who successfully complete their levels are awarded an official Certificate of Achievement approved by Tarsus University TÖMER.

4. Social and Cultural Activities

We believe that language is learned not just in the classroom, but in the heart of life itself. We support our educational process with on-campus events, city excursions, and cultural gatherings, enabling our students to internalize Turkish through real-life practice.
